ARTIST STATEMENT
Creating art has been my passion since I was a little girl. I love to explore concepts, colors and textures in a sensory and experimental way. Ideas often appear and don’t leave until I translate them into a stratified painting or a multimedia work. This process is thrilling and at times unstoppable, like a force of nature. My inspiration often comes from nature, and I strive to create beautiful, uplifting artwork, each one imbued with its own unique energy.
To convey specific ideas, I use various materials including Himalayan salt, glazes, acrylic, iridescent and gold paint. Because of the nature of these paintings, exposure to low or high levels of light can make them look distinctly different - from glistening and sparkling to a more subtle, subdued look.
The Spirit Series
The Spirit Series is a reflection of the multi-dimensional world we inhabit. I love to explore what exists but is unseen to the naked eye. With each piece in the series, I strive to bring a unique perspective from within the full spectrum of existence.
The Eye Series
The Eye Series conveys the importance of opening our physical and metaphysical eyes to the present moment, and the light within each of us. Every work in this series strives to inspire, igniting a desire to be fully present and in alignment with the infinite energy of the universe.
Other Works
I love color and the exploration of abstract ideas from beyond our physical world. Sometimes, inspiration comes from life events and people, at other times, it may be a vivid dream which lingers long after I am awake.
